Terms & Conditions of Sale.
These terms govern the sale of products by WATA Enterprises Limited (Company No. 16509871, registered in England & Wales) to consumers via this website. Wholesale and trade purchases are governed by a separate Wholesale Trading Agreement issued at account approval.
1. About us
We are WATA Enterprises Limited, registered office 275 Copster Hill Road, Oldham, OL8 3DE, United Kingdom. You can contact us at wataenterprisesltd@gmail.com or +44 7438 719680.
2. The contract
Your order is an offer to purchase. A binding contract is formed only when we email you a dispatch confirmation. We may decline an order at our discretion (for example, if a product is out of stock, mispriced, or cannot be lawfully shipped to your address).
3. Age restrictions on knives and bladed articles
Under the Offensive Weapons Act 2019, the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and related legislation, it is an offence to sell knives and certain bladed articles to anyone under the age of 18 in the United Kingdom. By placing an order containing a bladed product, you confirm that:
- You are aged 18 or over;
- The product is being purchased for your own use or as a gift for someone aged 18 or over;
- You will be available, in person and with photographic ID, to receive delivery.
We use age-verified courier services (Royal Mail Age Verification, DPD ID-on-Delivery) for all bladed products. The courier may refuse delivery without ID. We will not knowingly supply a bladed product to anyone under 18, and any order in breach of this clause will be cancelled.
4. Prices and payment
- All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include UK VAT at the prevailing rate.
- Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay.
- Payment is taken in full at the time of order via our secure payment provider.
- If a price is obviously wrong (e.g. a knife listed at £1) we reserve the right to refuse the order and refund any payment.
5. Delivery
- UK orders placed before 3 pm on a working day are normally dispatched the same day.
- Standard UK delivery: Royal Mail Tracked 24 (1–2 working days).
- Free UK delivery on orders over £75; otherwise £4.95.
- International delivery is available on request — restrictions apply for bladed products in some territories.
- Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery. Title passes once payment has cleared.
6. Right to cancel (consumers)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from delivery to cancel your order without giving a reason. We extend this to 30 days as a goodwill measure.
To cancel, email wataenterprisesltd@gmail.com with your order reference. Return the product unused, in its original packaging, within 14 days of giving notice. Return postage is paid by you unless the product was faulty or not as described.
Refunds are processed within 14 days of receipt of the returned product, to the original payment method. We may reduce the refund if the product shows signs of use beyond what would be reasonable in a shop.
7. Faulty or incorrect items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If a product is faulty on arrival, contact us within 30 days for a full refund or replacement — we cover return postage.
For manufacturing defects appearing after 30 days, the manufacturer’s warranty (often lifetime — e.g. Buck Forever Warranty, Leatherman 25-year, Victorinox limited lifetime, Fenix 5-year) applies. We will help you make a warranty claim.
8. Lifetime sharpening service
Any knife purchased from us can be returned for free professional sharpening, for as long as you own it. You pay outbound postage; we sharpen and return at our cost. Service is offered by us as a goodwill commitment and may be modified or withdrawn at any time on reasonable notice.
9. Intellectual property
The site design, photographs, copy and the WATA name and logo are the property of WATA Enterprises Limited or its licensors. You may not reproduce them without prior written consent. Brand names and logos of products we stock (Buck, Victorinox, Fenix, Gerber, Skerper, Kizer, Leatherman) are the property of their respective owners and used here under retailer permission.
10. Liability
Knives, multi-tools and torches are sold for lawful purposes only. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with the law in your jurisdiction (e.g. carry restrictions in public places under the Criminal Justice Act 1988 in the UK). We do not accept liability for misuse.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our liability for any claim arising from a single order is limited to the price paid for that order.
11. Privacy
Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Disputes and governing law
These terms and any contract formed under them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from bringing proceedings in their country of residence.
We are committed to resolving complaints informally. Email wataenterprisesltd@gmail.com with the reference “Complaint” in the subject line; we will respond within five working days.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one in force when the order was placed. The current version is always available on this page.
